For their 2018-19 season, Jesse Cloninger and the Emerald City Jazz Kings present another great year of historic jazz and popular music. They start off the season in high form with IN THE MOOD, a big band tribute to 3 of the Swing Era's greats, Glenn Miller and Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey (October). Then in the new they celebrate two of the great vocalists of the 1920s and 30s, Mildred Bailey and Lee Morse in TONIGHT YOU BELONG TO ME (February). Finally, the Jazz Kings wrap thing up with CHEERFUL LITTLE EARFUL, a tribute to composer Harry Warren and lyricist Al Dubin (May).

The Emerald City Jazz Kings is the resident jazz & classic American Songbook ensemble of The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts. Under the baton of music director Jesse Cloninger, the Jazz Kings produce 4 original concerts each year on various themes pertinent to the historic popular music and jazz of the 1920s through ‘50s, with performances in Eugene, Florence and Corvallis.
