Shedd Theatricals 2019 presents 3 classic musicals: Richard Adler, Jerry Ross, George Abbott & Douglass Wallop' 1955 adaptation of Wallop's delightful tale of love and baseball, Damn Yankees (July 12-21), Charles Strouse, Martin Chamin & Thomas Meehan's 1976 smash hit tale of that spunky 1930s cartoon orphan Annie (Sep 13-29), and Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick & Joe Masteroff's wonderful 1963 musical retelling of Hungarian playwright Miklós László's lovely 1937 tale of pen pal love She Loves Me (Dec 6-22). All 3 fully-staged productions feature a live orchestra.
