blending their spot-on intricate harmonies with a host of antics: scat, instrumental imitation, ‘Boswellese’ gibberish, tempo and meter changes, major/minor juxtaposition, key changes, and incorporation of sections from other songs. After the Sisters broke up in 1936 when Vet and Martha decided to get married, Connee continued in her own solo career until 1960.
