Portland organist and harpsichordist Bill Crane (organ) has called Oregon home for 33 years and in that time has played countless programs around the state and the nation, and quite a bit in France and Italy. Educated at Florida State University in Tallahassee and the Schola Cantorum in Paris, Dr. Crane has helped produce the Trasimeno Music Festival in Umbria, Italy, for the past 11 years, working with artistic director Angela Hewitt. Although old enough to be retired, he is still having fun as executive director of Portland Piano International and fills rare free moments with building things, welding, knitting, and, post-Covid, more frequent dinner parties.
