A native of Taiwan, violinist Chung-Mei Chang grew up in Brazil. She
studied with Ayrton Pinto at Sao Paulo State University and Peter
Zazofsky at Boston University, where she also had extensive chamber
music coachings with the Muir String Quartet and Raphael Hillyer. She
was a fellow at Tanglewood, Taos and several other prestigious music
festivals. As a chamber musician, with an avid interest in
contemporary music, she has performed in countries such as Germany,
France, Italy, Greece, Israel and Brazil. She has held numerous
orchestral positions, among them the Hong Kong Philharmonic and
Orquesta Sinfonica de Galicia, in Spain.
