1997 Festival Music Director Michael Doucet, Louisiana French fiddler extraordinaire and leader of the popular Cajun band BeauSoleil, will be joined by many of the Festival’s guest artists in a lively overview of the rich musical “gumbo” that they have cooked up for the week. The evening’s bill will include premier Cajun accordionist Marc Savoy and guitarist/vocalist Ann Savoy of the Savoy-Doucet Cajun band, Dr. Michael White and the Original Liberty Jazz Band, French Canadian folk band Ad Vielle Que Pourra, and members of BeauSoleil.
