Raquy Danziger's Düm Rhythm Celebration is an electrifying show featuring Turkish style darbuka/dumbek drumming. Raquy on King Kemenche Tarhu (a 12-stringed futuristic version of the Persian spike fiddle) and Darbuka and Michael Burdi on oud perform intricate and dazzling compositions comprised of rhythms from Turkey, Egypt, Iran and India as well as funk, samba and hip hop beats. The show is carefully choreographed with many theatrical elements and some audience participation. Raquy also performs many of her dreamy melodic pieces.
