Buckwheat Zydeco, who the New York Times has called, "One of the greatest
party bands in America," is a man, and a band, with an international
following. Buck hails from Louisiana, where he was inspired early on by jazz
music and the Creole culture of his community. His records have incorporated
a wide spectrum of musical styles and the resulting sound is an upbeat,
rocking, natural and authentic blend of modern zydeco and southern soul. He
headlines internationally and has recently collaborated with or opened for
Eric Clapton, U2, Neil Young, Robert Plant, Ringo Starr, Greg Allman, Jimmy
Buffett, John Hiatt, Bonnie Raitt and Los Lobos.
