TAB HOUSTON is an Oregonian singer, actor, and songwriter with a “glorious voice” (The Register Guard). He describes his sound as “Pacific Northwestern soul pop.” Houston's approach to songcraft stems from a lifelong affection for Top 40 pop, as well as his experience as an interpreter of the Great American Songbook. He is currently approaching 40 engagements with The Shedd Institute's Oregon Festival of American Music, Emerald City Jazz Kings, Shedd Theatricals, Shedd Presents, and Shedd Classical series.
Houston has recently taken a step back from his regular Shedd appearances to focus on producing his debut record: How Not to Love You. The confessional exploration of first heartbreaks is expected to be released in 2026.
Houston proudly holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from The University of Michigan.
