BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet is, simply, French Louisiana music at its best. Eclectic yet deeply grounded in traditional Cajun music, creative, high-powered, and always entertaining, the group has enjoyed a solid and growing international reputation.

Under the twenty-year leadership of founder Michael Doucet, BeauSoleil has released 25 albums and accumulated seven Grammy nominations. They have made numerous appearances on national radio and television, including CBS This Morning, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Austin City Limits, Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion, and Talk of the Nation. The band still tours extensively throughout the world, has performed twice at Carnegie Hall, provided the soundtrack for the film Belizaire The Cajun, and graced the opening credits of the soundtrack for The Big Easy. The band performed along with Mary Chapin Carpenter for the halftime show for Super Bowl XXXI, which took place in New Orleans in the group's home state of Louisiana.

Michael Doucet and BeauSoleil have a deep reverence for their roots in traditional Cajun music and yet are equally fervent in their commitment to and delight in original work that draws upon the many rich musical threads of their home state of Louisiana, including Cajun and Creole classics, blues, South Louisiana swamp-pop, New Orleans jazz, Afro-Caribbean material, country, Tex-Mex, Caribbean and rock influences.
