Brazilian singer/composer Luciana Souza’s latest project, Neruda, undertakes the daunting and surprisingly effective task of setting Pablo Neruda’s sophisticated poetry to music in celebration of his 100th birthday. The results are astounding, and the voice is soulful. The concert will feature pieces from this album and from her vast canon of delightful quartet compositions.
