Sound Advice! is a free peer-to-peer, monthly, workshop hosted by The Shedd’s Loop Lane County Committee. The sessions are designed to acquaint community members who experience hearing loss about the benefits of hearing loops to significantly improve comprehension and clarity. Hearing loops are a powerful addition to the tools needed to hear better both in large venues, such as performance halls and houses of worship, as well as in smaller or personal settings, such as pharmacy counters, meetings, and living rooms.
Come learn about how your hearing aid or cochlear implant works to access music or speech through a loop and practice using one in a relaxed atmosphere with volunteers who also use hearing loops. It’s a friendly and forum atmosphere to ask questions and compare experiences hearing in a noisy world compounded by the additional challenges of masks and Plexiglass barriers.
Sound Advice meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10-11 am. Please call to register. We will meet over Zoom, as long as needed, to start the conversation and arrange for 1:1 loop testing when you can.
The Shedd’s Loop Lane County Committee encourages your family and friends to attend with you!
