Alternative country singer-songwriter Guy Clark has been turning out solidly-crafted songs for over 30 years, many of which scored hits for a host of country artists, including the likes of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Rita Coolidge, George Strait and Vince Gill. His string of original recordings over the past decade--Boats To Build (1992), Dublin Blues (1995), Keepers (1997), Cold Dog Soup (1999), and The Dark (2002)--betray an artist whose creative powers have, if anything, increased over the years. Yet it is the easy-going personableness and poignant intimacy of a Clark concert that has most impressed over the years. The Shedd Institute is pleased to welcome Clark back for the second time to the Jaqua Concert Hall.
